The Center’s Narendra Modi government cabinet has approved the setting up of a national recruitment agency to conduct a common eligibility test. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said, the decision will benefit the youth of the country in getting jobs. The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by PM Narendra Modi.
Talking to the notice of the State Government, the government has also decided to provide a number of different examinations for the government. There are now about 20 Recruitment agencies for such examinations and candidates have to go to other places to appear for the exam,” he said, adding that there had been a long-running demand to rectify the difficulties in this regard. In view of this, the Cabinet has decided to set up a National Recruitment Agency to take up the common eligibility test.
On the decision, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that this is one of the most historic reforms in the history of independent India. This will bring ease of recruitment, selection, job ease and particularly for certain sections of society. He said the common entrance test score will be valid for three years. In the meantime, any candidate will be able to apply for the job in different fields.

For central government jobs, different agencies now conduct separate examinations. Candidates have to fill the fees again and again. To reach the test center, you have to travel long distances several times a year. Now it will get rid of it. The first stage examinations of Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) and Institute of Banking Service Personal (IBPS) will now be conducted by the National Recruitment Agency.
